Feeling Good

After getting over the initial poutiness from my last doctor’s visit, I decided to let the conversation fuel me in a more positive direction. Eating even better than before and exercising more. Not to the point of going overboard at all, just a nudge in a better direction. I was blessed to have my parents in town this past weekend for the Fourth of July and we got a lot of walking done in a small amount of time. We went all over the Botanical Gardens on Saturday, out to the beach on Sunday, and through the aquarium on Monday. This little booty got a good workout.

My body just feels so good. I have no complaints at all and I thank God that I am able to enjoy so much of my pregnancy by getting up and out. Walking through a beautiful garden on a gorgeous day with my wonderful mom was so nice. I can’t imagine what it is like to have to be on bed-rest. When I get home after a long day I have to remind myself that I am blessed to be able to get out and go for a walk since some pregnant women don’t get that freedom. Here is the latest shot from our trip to the Botanical Garden. I’m 30 weeks exactly.

I think something that has helped in me feeling better has been my water intake. I have never been very good about getting a lot of water each day but since I have been pregnant I have been much more intentional about it. I’m a carbonation addict so seltzer water has been a good friend of mine. I recently discovered the lovely combination of seltzer water and cucumber slices and I am addicted. It is so refreshing and it makes you think you are drinking something special and fancy. Even Andy admits that it is a tasty combo. So, for all you trying to improve your water intake, there is your secret weapon. Give it a try and tell me it’s not awesome.

Oh, and I put up a new poll. Check it out.
